Engineering

As the youth commence or return to continue further education at universities across the country, why not join us on this journey into the world of Makers.

Maker has become synonymous with people making things happen with small electronic assemblies comprising of a controller and connections to the outside world and typically a part of the Internet of Things (IoT) connected to the www.

We've all heard of remote cat monitoring or remotely controlling appliances in your home. Perhaps when you're away on holiday and want to feed your cat smile

This course includes some theory and background information about the applications and projects that can be undertaken for as little as £10 invested in hardware such as Arduino or with a bigger budget a Raspberry Pi SBC (Single Board Computer) to create some very impressive projects such as your own Media Server or File Storage scheme.

In essence we will be exploring the point of integration of Software and Hardware culminating is a 'system' that solves specific problems.

This course is taught by a qualified Electronic Engineer so you will have plenty of oppotuinities to ask questions and learn new concepts.
